Given the restrictions imposed to try and curb the Covid-19 pandemic, the Heritage Council of Ireland have gone online for Heritage Week this year (Heritage Week runs from 15th to 23rd August). You can find Heritage Week projects here.
As a follow up to a project in 2011-2015, I’ve created an event on traditional building skills. This includes an overview of a renovation project re-introducing people to some of the key skills – mud-walls, lime mortaring and thatching. You can read it here and see a short video below.
